Jaws demo expires after 45 minutes?

Earlier on I posted a topic about a friend who needed a jaws demo for her computer class. She downloaded this demo, but after 45 minutes, it expired, and will not work! They restarted the computer three times, and it still didn't work! Now from the demo version I know, it runs 45 minutes, then you restart your computer and it runs for another 45 minutes and so on... Has this changed with the later versions of jaws? Does anyone know why this is doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

something doesn't seem right there, you restart for another 45 minutes of demo time

The computer was restarted 3 times, and it didn't ever come back up! It said the demo was expired, then shut down! My friend is really needing this demo, and I also may have forgotten to mention this demo was downloaded, does that have anything to do with it? Also I wonder if the instructor may have gone somewhere else to download it other than the freedom scientific website! Is there any demos like that? Does anyone know?

Why not download JAWS from the FS website again?

Does your friend need JAWS specificly, or can another screen reader be used?

Hi,
After you restart your computer, I think you have to start Jaws again manually.

Oh ok, I will let her know. Yes, she needs jaws because that is what she knows how to use! Also, about the demo, I would be greatful, however, I'd have no way to send it to her.

I have what you are talking about and I just turn it back on as soon it goes off, I pres windows M J for jaws then enter, Well now i press alt controle J but that is because i put a short cut to it and I would love to have a dimoe that never goes off, and I also have 8.0

Ok, I think I may just tell her to have them create a shortcut for her. You cant set it to start automatically? Also I think she's on a network where she has t olog in. Will she be able to do the shortcut or whatever so she can hear what she is doing?

If she is comfortable with JAWS, she might want to try SAToGo at SAToGo.com.

All she needs to run the screenreader is Internet Explorer.

The navigation is similar to JAWS and the program does not require any instalation, it runs as long as Internet Explorer is up, or until the program is shut off.
